Engine details.
Engine Originally obtained from Larry Swann. Engine originally prepared for Larry by Bob Newby.
Recently completely overhauled/Serviced by Dietmar Fette, Braunschweig Germany (Been taking care of my engines for 10 years) Has run less than 100 Km.
New big end and conrod and lightweight piston from Willi Ruefernacht (Switzerland) alloy cylinder and liner re-plated to match the piston by Aptec Pro (UK). Ruefernacht prepares Ives and Franz Glausers machines.
Alloy main bearing housings (The full works) No expense spared.
Ignition. Battery. Boyer-Bransden.Two spark plugs. (1 x 14 mm 1 x 10 mm). Ignition “trigger” mechanism in especially made aluminum housing fitted to timing side camshaft drive (Replaces inspection / adjustment cover).
Whole ignition system can be replaced piece by piece without dismantling the engine. Ignition transistor box can be replaced/ exchanged in 60 seconds. “Trigger mechanism” can be replaced in 5 minutes. (But have to re-strobe the ignition timing – 10 minutes) I have been using this ignition system since 1968. Fully sponsored by Boyer-Bransden. Hardly ever a problem. (Age sometimes) Fully reliable. All my machines are fitted with this ignition system,
Reason for sale. (Regretfully). Now I’m getting older and have to “cut back a bit”. I have just obtained a Patton twin (Which I am having to learn to use.). I still have my 92 mm bore short stroke Beale Seeley G50. As well as 2 x 350 Seeley AJS 7r’s and a 750cc Seeley Norton twin. This beautiful machine is now unfortunately “surplus” to our requirements.

It is possible to supply this machine with a 350cc 7R motor of the same high specification as well if required
