Wow, how we loved this tyre in the '80's & 90's !!  I can't tell you how many races I won on these, but the trophy cabinet suggests that it was quite a few.

The Roadrunner is old technology compared to the AM22 tyres favoured today, but uses a similar crossply carcase and this updated variant has a soft A30 compound with 8mm of tread, which is way more than anything else. This gives a rather 'squirmy' ride in the dry, but unrivalled water clearance in the wet. The taller 90% aspect gives more sidewall movement contibuting to the 'feel' already mentioned. Particularly suited to stiffer Vintage bikes because they have less movement in the suspension, so benefit from having more 'give' in the sidewall.
