DESCRIPTION

Fork Stanchion top nut for all Norton Telescopic forks 1948-1980. 

We offer numerous options. 

"Featherbed" model suits all 'featherbed' road frames, Manxes, Seeley's and pre-featherbed long 'RoadHolder' Forks. Tapped 3/8" x 26 TPI for damper rod. 

"Commando" version is similar but 3/8" (9.5mm) longer to accomodate the thick alloy clock brackets & is tapped 3/8 UNF for the damper rods.

If building a Commando without the clock brackets, use the featherbed version & featherbed damper rods. 

Original Manxes used plain alloy top nuts. We prefer the silver grey anodised finish on our race bikes due to the resistance to corrosion and thread siezure that this finish promotes. 

All Road bikes used chromed steel top nuts for which the polished stainless option is a superior replacement. 

Our washers are proper ones machined from solid bar! If you select to have washers included we will send a washer of the same material as the top nut you have ordered. NOTE: Alloy washers are NOT anodised. 

 Price is for one top nut etc, so normally you will need to select a quantity of 2.
