Y Brackets
£45.00
DESCRIPTION
Polished Alloy Y Brackets for Alloy front mudguard (pair). (Not required for Carbon varient.)
Build your Manx, Domi, Triton or other Cafe Racer with the traditional looking alloy mudguard & polished Y brackets.
Note that there are two varieties of fork slider used on Featherbed Nortons:
Manx - The mudguard mounting bosses are 1.781" (45.2mm) from the top edge of the slider to the centre of the holes, which are 5/16" dia. These sliders were also used on most `Long Roadholders` and all `Short Roadholders` up to 1956.
Road - From 1957, on the road bikes only, the mudguard bosses were moved 3/4" lower down the fork leg, so they measure 2.531" (64.3mm) from the top edge of the slider to the centre of the holes, which are 1/4" dia. Until 1969 these were tapped 1/4BSF (fine),after which (`Commando` models) they were tapped 1/4 UNC (coarse).
From this it follows that the Road Y brackets are longer than the Manx version.
Price is for one pair.
